Day 1 - Monday

Athens


Welcome to Athens! The start of your journey! Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and have time to relax or explore at your own pace. Later in the day, our tour representative will meet you to share important information about your journey.

Day 2 - Tuesday

Athens · Kamena Vourla · Kalambaka


We set off early in the morning toward northern Greece. Our first stop is Kamena Vourla, a lovely coastal resort town set against scenic natural surroundings. We then continue to the historic Thermopylae Pass, known for the legendary ancient battle. Our journey carries on to Kastraki, a charming village offering panoramic views of the valley, where you’ll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the spectacular Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 3 - Wednesday

Kalambaka · Delphi · Athens


Today we travel south through the scenic landscapes of Thessaly, making our way to Delphi. There, we visit the remarkable archaeological complex set high above the Gulf of Corinth, offering spectacular panoramic views.


Later, we continue to the Hosios Loukas Monastery, considered one of Greece’s finest examples of Byzantine architecture and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its impressive 11th-century mosaics are a highlight of the visit. We then proceed to Athens, arriving in the evening.

Day 4 - Thursday

Athens


This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Athens with a local expert. Highlights include the Presidential Palace, the Panathenaic Stadium—home of the first modern Olympic Games—the National Library, and the lively central squares. We’ll also pass through modern districts developed in preparation for the 2004 Olympic Games. The tour concludes at the Acropolis (entrance not included).


In the evening, a transfer is arranged to the historic Plaka district, famous for its traditional tavernas and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for experiencing authentic Greek culture.

Day 5 - Friday

Athens · Tripoli · Olympia · Patras


Today we head into the Peloponnese, stopping briefly at the Corinth Canal—an impressive 19th-century feat of engineering. We then continue through mountainous scenery to Tripoli, the main city of Arcadia. Here you’ll have a short break in lively Aeros Square, a popular spot filled with cafés and restaurants.


Afterwards, we travel on to Olympia for a guided visit of the archaeological site. This is the birthplace of the Olympic Games, first held in 776 BC. Key points of interest include the Temple of Zeus, the ancient stadium, the gymnasium, and the training grounds.


We then continue to Patras, Greece’s third-largest city, known for its medieval castle and the country’s largest cathedral. Next to it stands the smaller Church of Saint Andrew, an important pilgrimage site.

Day 6 - Saturday

Patras · Nafpaktos · Mycenae · Corinth · Athens


After breakfast, we cross the Rio–Antirrio Bridge, an impressive cable-stayed structure linking the Peloponnese to mainland Greece. Our first visit is to Nafpaktos on the Gulf of Corinth. Above the town stands a Venetian fortress, a symbol of its past—once known as Lepanto, famous for the naval battle where Christian and Ottoman forces fought, and where Miguel de Cervantes was wounded. You’ll have free time to enjoy the charming harbor and wander through the historic old quarter.


We then follow the coastline to Mycenae, an immense fortified site dating back to around the 18th century BC and often regarded as one of the earliest centers of European civilization.


Next, we visit the striking Acrocorinth fortress, where you’ll see remnants of ancient structures, including a sanctuary linked to Aphrodite at the highest point. Before returning, we make a short stop at the Corinth Canal. Arrival in Athens is planned for the evening.

After breakfast, the tour concludes, marking the end of your journey and leaving you with unforgettable memories of your time in Greece.
