Discover Morocco

This captivating journey through Morocco offers an in-depth exploration of the country’s imperial cities, dramatic landscapes, and rich cultural traditions, beginning in the vibrant city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, guests are transferred to their hotel and welcomed by a tour representative who provides an overview of the itinerary. In the afternoon, a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride introduces the city, culminating at the iconic Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where storytellers, musicians, and market stalls create a uniquely atmospheric setting. A welcome dinner completes the day.

The following day is dedicated to discovering Marrakech, the city that gave Morocco its name. A guided tour explores the ancient city walls, the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa, the historic Medina, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the elegant Bahia Palace, renowned for its intricate decoration. After lunch, guests enjoy free time to relax at the hotel or explore the colorful souks at leisure.

Leaving Marrakech, the journey crosses the High Atlas Mountains, where winding roads reveal snow-capped peaks, palm-filled valleys, and traditional Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. A highlight of the day is the visit to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village famed for its appearance in numerous international films. Continuing through the cinematic landscapes of Ouarzazate and the fragrant Valley of Roses, the tour arrives in Boumalne Dades.

The adventure continues through the Valley of the Kasbahs, passing river oases, adobe villages, and ancient fortresses that illustrate Morocco’s historic trade routes. A visit to the dramatic Todgha Gorge, with its towering canyon walls, offers one of the journey’s most striking natural sights. The route continues toward Erfoud, on the edge of the Sahara, with the option to join an off-road excursion into the desert dunes to witness a memorable sunset.

Departing Erfoud, the tour crosses varied landscapes of the Middle Atlas, from arid plateaus inhabited by nomadic shepherds to fertile valleys and forested regions. Stops include Midelt, a regional market town, a lakeside lunch surrounded by natural beauty, and the House of Cedars near Azrou, where guests may observe the local monkey colonies. In Bhalil, a peaceful Berber town known for its cave dwellings, visitors glimpse traditional rural life before continuing to Fez, with panoramic views from the Marinid Tombs marking the city’s approach.

In Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital, a guided visit reveals the city’s remarkable heritage, including the Royal Palace gates, the historic Jewish Quarter, bustling souks, and the renowned Tanners Quarter within the Medina, one of the world’s best-preserved medieval urban centers. Lunch is served in a traditional palace before the journey continues north to Tangier, Morocco’s gateway between Africa and Europe.

After breakfast on the final day, the tour concludes in Tangier, leaving guests with lasting memories of Morocco’s imperial cities, desert landscapes, and timeless cultural traditions.
