Discover Baltics

This journey through the Baltic States offers an in-depth exploration of EstoniaLatvia, and Lithuania, revealing a region distinguished by medieval heritage, refined architecture, and poignant historical landmarks.

The tour begins in Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, where guests are welcomed and transferred to their hotel before an introductory dinner. A panoramic city tour showcases Tallinn’s exceptionally well-preserved medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring ancient city walls, Gothic churches, cobbled streets, and lively squares that reflect centuries of Hanseatic influence. The afternoon is free for independent exploration.

Traveling south through forested landscapes and open plains, the route reaches Pärnu, Estonia’s popular seaside resort, before crossing into Latvia. A visit to Turaida Castle, a striking medieval fortress set within an expansive sculpture park, highlights the region’s feudal past. In nearby Sigulda, surrounded by scenic valleys, there is time for a leisurely walk. En route to Riga, a stop is made at the Salaspils Memorial, an imposing complex commemorating victims of the Second World War. Arrival in Riga follows in the evening.

Riga, the largest of the Baltic capitals, is explored during a panoramic tour that reveals its rich architectural heritage. The medieval Old Town, another UNESCO-listed site, contrasts with one of Europe’s finest collections of Art Nouveau buildings, while traces of the Soviet era remain visible throughout the city. The afternoon is reserved for personal discovery.

Continuing toward Lithuania, the journey includes a visit to the magnificent Rundāle Palace, an opulent Baroque residence designed by architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, also known for the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. After crossing the border, a stop is made at the evocative Hill of Crosses, a powerful symbol of Lithuanian faith and resilience, where thousands of crosses stand as expressions of devotion and remembrance. Near Vilnius, the picturesque island castle of Trakai, set amid tranquil lakes, provides a memorable highlight.

The final full day is devoted to Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, whose historic center—also UNESCO-listed—unfolds across seven hills. A guided panoramic tour presents its harmonious blend of Baroque churches, medieval streets, castle remains, and vibrant central avenues. The afternoon is free for further exploration.

After breakfast on the concluding day, the tour ends in Vilnius, leaving guests with lasting impressions of the Baltic region’s architectural elegance, complex history, and distinctive cultural identity.
